Hello, I am Lynn Neiverth and I am running for the Johnston County Board of Education. My priorities include:
Increase academic excellence.
Support AIG Center and Program.
Create solutions for low performing schools.
Reduce dropout rates.
Improve communications.
Provide smart growth planning.
Improve teacher and staff retention.
Provide additional computer/technology exposure in the classrooms.
Eliminate wasteful spending, reclaim dollars for student-related needs.
My diverse educational background includes over 25 years of experience:
Teacher
Served four terms as an elected Board of Education member, four years as chairperson and three years as vice-chairperson. This was in a school district with issues similar to those of Johnston County.
Educational sales and management for a national company.
My strengths include:
An unwavering commitment towards quality education.
Vast experience in budget preparation and management.
Knowledge and experience with school board responsibilities.
Training and experience in consensus and team building.
Knowledge of local Johnston County school issues.
Creative problem solving abilities with proven leadership skills.
